Rebuild, Survive, and Thrive in a World Overrun by the Dead

The zombie outbreak has decimated civilization. It’s your job to lead the survivors, fortify your settlement, scavenge for fuel, and repel the undead.

In City of the Living, each player builds a unique tableau city while balancing defense, cooperation, and resource management. On your turn, draw a new tile to the market and trigger one of five possible events—fuel, scour, defend, remove zombies, or gain advantage. Then take two actions such as gathering fuel, removing zombies, pursuing scavenging tracks, or building.

The cost to build decreases the further ahead you are on the scavenging track, rewarding smart advancement. But don’t neglect defense—overrun by zombies, and you lose momentum. At game end, the player with the most Advantage becomes the leader of the living.
